Three: Finding Water (Allow two minutes.)

As you proceed along your path, taking note of everything around you, you encounter a body of water. Describe the water to yourself. It might be a placid lake, a burbling stream, a rushing river, the crashing ocean, or a fresh spring. You may or may not be able to see the water. It might be hidden or in the distance. It doesn’t matter. If you like, spend some time with the water. Listen to the sounds it makes, gaze into its depths, go wading, splash around, or dive right in and take a swim. Again, if you meet any people or animals—perhaps you’ll see fish or a playful otter—take note.

After the relaxation component of this activity, title a page in your journal or notebook My Finding Water Experience and then write or draw what you just “saw.”
